Job summary

At DLA Piper, we are seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist - BD to provide operational, system and administrative support to the international marketing and business development teams, supporting sector and practice group activities, brand and design, and client relationship initiatives.

You will coordinate requests, schedule work to meet deadlines, create and maintain process documentation, support graphic design and site content updates, and contribute to reporting and pitching processes

Qualifications

• Advanced English is required.
• At least 1 year of marketing and business development experience, preferably in a professional services organization.
• Knowledge of marketing, business development and project management methods/tools is an asset.
• Ability to work across functions and geographies within a global team.

Marketing Operations Specialist - Business Development (BD) will provide operational, system and administrative support to the international marketing and business support teams, related to sector and practice group activities, brand and design, dlapiper.com content updates and client relationship support.

Main duties and responsibilities

As a Marketing Operations Specialist - BD, You Will

• Provide assistance to the marketing experts and marketing managers in all aspects of sector, practice group and location Business Development activities
• Receive and scope out of requests, understand the tasks you are required to deliver and seek clarification when needed
• Schedule the work and ensure it is delivered in accordance with the deadline. This will involve a mix of delivering tasks yourself as well as working with others
• Create and maintain process documentation
• Support graphic design and brand related processes
• Update and amend our internal and external websites
• Conduct analysis of activities involving key and target clients as requested by the practice group, sector or location marketing teams
• Support awards and directory submissions
• Provide backup support for key elements of the pitching process
• Contribute to the preparation of team reports and ad hoc reporting requests
• Provide support for a variety of operational and administrative tasks where necessary
• Contribute to a customer and team work oriented atmosphere in a demanding and fast-paced environment
• Assist with other daily tasks assigned by the team expert, team leader or manager
• Ensure that all relevant company standards and guidelines are met

About You

• Advanced English skills
• At least 1 year of relevant marketing and business development experience, preferably in a professional services organization - law firm experience would be a distinct advantage
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of marketing, business development and project management methods and tools would be an asset
• Ability to execute project tasks across functions and geographies and work within a global team structure
• Experience in dealing with a demanding workload and conflicting priorities
• Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines, be methodical and logical
• Ability to stay calm and composed in often demanding situations
• Timeliness, accuracy and precision in task delivery
• Focus on providing excellent customer service
• Proactive 'can do' attitude and collaborative working style

GSC Marketing provides operational, system and administrative support to the international business, i.e. internal marketing teams, partners and business services across DLA Piper.
