Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking a M&A Consultant / Senior Consultant to join the Operations team. The role focuses on shaping solutions, guiding execution, and driving value creation across transactions and transformations.

The position reports to EY GDS Poland's Operations group, with 2 days in the Katowice/Wrocław office and 3 days remote, supporting cross-border engagements. Strong English and a European language are preferred.

Qualifications

3-6 years of professional experience in operational consulting, transaction advisory, due diligence, value creation, restructuring, transformation, or performance improvement projects.
Strong understanding of cost optimization, procurement, supply chain performance, working capital, and productivity.
Ability to assess performance and develop practical recommendations.
Experience in financial modelling, advanced Excel, business case development, and financial analysis.
Experience using AI, automation, and digital tools to support analysis and project delivery.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
Ability to travel and work across EU (up to 20% annually).
Excellent written and verbal English; additional European language preferred.

Responsibilities

Support end-to-end operations workstreams across strategic transformations and M&A transactions, including due diligence, value creation, integration, separation, and restructuring.
Assess operational performance, identify risks and value creation opportunities, and analyze KPIs, cost structures, productivity, and working capital.
Evaluate Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, Operations, and Corporate Functions to identify synergies, cost reductions, and improvements.
Support development of business cases, financial models, and value creation initiatives to inform decisions.
Coordinate project workstreams and manage relationships with client stakeholders, including senior management and C-level executives.
Develop high-quality client deliverables, including executive presentations, findings reports, business cases, and steering materials.
Translate business needs into practical operational transformation initiatives.
Leverage AI tools and innovative approaches to enhance analysis, delivery efficiency, and identification of opportunities.
