Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Operations team in a role focused on defining approaches, shaping solutions and guiding execution for Transact-to-Transform engagements in the energy sector. Location is Katowice / Wrocław with a mix of two days in the office and three days remote.

You will support end-to-end operations workstreams, perform financial modelling, and develop client deliverables with strong storytelling.

Qualifications

• Energy-sector transaction experience and/or value creation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with financial analysis and modelling.
• Experience in energy sector (oil & gas, power, utilities, energy infra).
• Knowledge of energy markets, KPIs, and ESG considerations.
• Experience using AI, automation and digital tools for analysis.
• 6+ years in transaction advisory, operational consulting or related.
• Willingness to travel across EU (up to 20%).
• English plus an additional European language (French/Spanish/Italian/German).
• Willingness for occasional after-hours collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end operations workstreams across strategic transformations and M&A transactions.
• Assist due diligence, value creation, integration, separation and restructuring in the energy sector.
• Assess operational performance and risks across energy assets and businesses.
• Analyze key metrics: production, costs, CAPEX/OPEX, asset utilization.
• Develop and review business cases, financial models and value initiatives.
• Coordinate workstreams and manage client relationships at senior levels.
• Produce high-quality client deliverables with clear storytelling.
• Translate needs into practical operational improvements and initiatives.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis and efficiency.
