Job summary

Translation Excellence is seeking a Spanish (Spain) Life Science Linguist (Translator, Reviewer, & Editor) to provide high-quality translation, revision, and editing for technical, medical, and regulatory documents as a 1099 contractor.

You will translate from English (USA) to Spanish (Spain) with ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 compliance, maintain glossaries, and ensure publication-ready accuracy for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in the target language (Spanish) and professional-level mastery of English.
• Advanced degree in Life Science or Translation with field experience.
• 5+ years of professional life science translation/editing experience.
• Extensive experience with CAT Tools (SDL Trados, memoQ, Memsource).
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes regulatory content (EMA/FDA terminology).

Responsibilities

• Translate complex life science documents from English (USA) to Spanish (Spain) with high technical accuracy.
• Conduct bilingual reviews to ensure no omissions or mistranslations.
• Edit and proofread target-language content for style, flow, and regulatory suitability.
• Manage client glossaries and translation memories for consistency.
• Adhere to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards for linguistic quality and risk management.
