Translation Excellence is seeking an Italian Life Science Linguist (Translator, Reviewer, & Editor) to provide expert translation, review, and editing of clinical, regulatory, and medical device materials from English to Italian. This 1099 contractor role requires accuracy, terminological consistency, and adherence to industry standards.

You will build and maintain client glossaries and translation memories, ensure ISO-compliant quality, and collaborate with subject-matter experts to deliver

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a Life Science or translation field with life sciences focus.
• 5+ years professional experience in life science translation/editing.
• Native-level fluency in Italian and professional English.
• Experience with regulatory documents (EMA/FDA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex life science documents from English (USA) to Italian with high accuracy.
• Conduct bilingual reviews to ensure fidelity and terminology consistency.
• Edit and proofread to meet native-level quality for publication or regulatory submission.
• Manage client glossaries and translation memories for large projects.
• Ensure QA compliance with ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards.
