Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MA, MS, PhD, or MD) in Life Science or Translation with field experience.
• 5+ years of professional life science translation/editing.
• Native-level fluency in the target language and professional-level mastery of the source language.
• Extensive experience with CAT Tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Memsource).
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes regulatory content (EMA/FDA filings, MedDRA/EDQM terminology).

Responsibilities

• Translation of complex life science documents from English (USA) to Portuguese (Portugal) with high technical accuracy.
• Review & revision to ensure no omissions or terminology errors.
• Editing & proofreading for native-level quality and regulatory submission readiness.
• Terminology management by maintaining client glossaries and translation memories.
• QA compliance adhering to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards.
