Job summary

Translation Excellence is seeking a Dutch Life Science Linguist to provide translation, review, and editing of regulatory documents from English (USA) to Dutch. This contractor role requires high accuracy and adherence to ISO 17100/13485, with strong glossary management and QA processes.

As an independent contractor, you will work project-by-project, leveraging CAT tools like SDL Trados, memoQ, and Memsource to ensure native-level quality for publications and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in life science translation/editing.
• Native-level fluency in the target language and professional-level mastery of the source language.
• Experience with ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translation: English (USA) to Dutch with 100% technical accuracy for complex documents.
• Review & Revision: bilingual checks to avoid omissions or terminology errors.
• Editing & Proofreading: refine style, flow and grammar for native-level quality.
• Terminology Management: maintain client glossaries and translation memories for consistency.
• QA Compliance: adhere to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards.
