Job summary

Translation Excellence is seeking a highly specialized Life Science Linguist to provide translation, revision, and editing services for clinical, regulatory, and medical device content. You will work as a 1099 contractor on project-by-project basis, ensuring precise rendering and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include an advanced degree in Life Science or Translation and 5+ years of experience, native fluency in the target language, and extensive CAT Tool usage.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Science or Translation or equivalent field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in life science translation/editing.
• Native-level fluency in the target language and professional mastery of source language.
• Extensive experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados, memoQ, Memsource).
• Proven ability to handle high-stakes regulatory content (EMA/FDA, MedDRA/EDQM).

Responsibilities

• Translation of complex life science documents from English (USA) to Hungarian with high accuracy.
• Review and bilingual checking against source text to prevent omissions or errors.
• Editing and proofreading to ensure native-level quality for publication or regulatory submission.
• Terminology management using client glossaries and translation memories.
• QA compliance with ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards.
