Job summary

Nordea is seeking an IT Operation Specialist in Poland to join our Group Technology team. You will manage IT infrastructure in a DevOps-enabled environment, supporting developers and BizDevOps initiatives while driving automation and reliability.

You will work in a hybrid model with Windows and Linux systems, monitoring tools, and incident management practices to ensure high-quality service and fast resolution for users, developers, and stakeholders across the bank’s platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, System Engineer, or similar role.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with change and incident management tools and processes (BMC Helix ITSM, JIRA).
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana.
• Basic awareness of AI and automation concepts and interest in learning how they can support IT operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with developers and IT teams to support initiatives.

As an IT Operation Specialist you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure while working in DevOps setup to streamline our development and operations processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, automate, and scale our applications and systems effectively. You will help us support our users, developers and our BizDevOps journey, to ensure we are geared towards high quality and low cycle-time and that our customers are our first priority.

About our team

We're responsible for Nordea's savings distribution platform - delivering customer and advisor-facing solutions for savings, investments, pensions, and life risk insurance across Mobile, Netbank, and advisory channels. Our role is to provide stable service in the Savings and Investment area.

What you’ll be doing

• Actively involved in day-to-day operations

• Support the team in maintaining applications and systems.
• Embrace mindset of continuous improvement, ensuring both technical excellence and efficient workflows.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle and to enhance collaboration, automation, efficiency across the organization and and deliver innovative solutions.
• Initiating and driving application dependency and infrastructure upgrade/patching
• Collaborate with service owners, platform teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business and technical requirements.

Who you are

• 5+ Years experience as an IT Operations, System engineer, IT Analyst or similar role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience of change and incident management tools and processes (BMC Helix ITSM, JIRA)
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux
• Experience in Monitoring tools as Splunk, Grafana or similar
• Basic awareness of AI and automation concepts and interest in learning how they can support IT operations, monitoring, and incident handling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment, collaboration with developers and other IT teams to support various initiatives and projects.

It would be ideal if you also:

• possess curiosity and interest in understanding and fulfilling business requirements to deliver exceptional customer experience and value-creation opportunities through technology
• have Knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD tools
