ENGIE Zielona Energia in Katowice is seeking an IS Application Manager to own the Sales and Business Operations applications landscape, including CRM and billing solutions. You will ensure stable operations, drive improvements, and align IT with business needs.

The role requires degree in a relevant field, hands-on Salesforce and API experience, and strong project management skills. Hybrid work in Katowice is offered with extensive collaboration across ENGIE teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Profound experience with IT tools in the energy Sales and Business Operations domains.
• Good understanding of Polish market processes.
• Knowledge of European energy market processes is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of SalesForce, API concepts, and Application lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary application expert and product owner for Sales Domain (CRM) and Business Operations (Billing) including local self-developed solutions and vendor deployed applications.
• Ensure stable, secure, and reliable daily operation of the solutions including incident, problem, and change management.
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, projects and integrations in line with IT standards.
• Act as the key interface between business and IS/IT teams.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Manage projects, enhancements, configurations, and system optimizations to support evolving business needs.
• Lead or contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives, including AI.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.

Job Description

ENGIE is a global leader in the energy transition. We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Application Manager for our B2B Sales and Business Operations domain. In this role, you are an enabler that supports the business to reach their targets efficiently, be it in Sales or Business Operations. Your role is to manage the Sales and Business Operations application landscape and its interfaces (both technical as well as vendors/stakeholders). As the central expert, you will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IS/IT teams, and external vendors to maintain high availability, optimize processes, and drive digital excellence.

Responsibilities

Application Ownership & Operations

• Serve as the primary application expert and product owner for applications in the Sales Domain (e.g. CRM) and Business Operations (e.g. Billing solution) including local self-developed solutions and vendor deployed applications.
• Ensure stable, secure, and reliable daily operation of the solutions, including incident, problem, and change management
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, projects and integrations in line with IT standards (either from Group or from SEM)

Business Support & Enhancement

• Act as the key interface between business and IS/IT or other technical teams
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Manage projects, enhancements, configurations, and system optimizations to support evolving business needs

Project & Vendor Management

• Lead or contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives, including AI
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, also external service providers
• Support implementation projects, testing, and release cycles

Quality, Security & Compliance

• Ensure data quality, system documentation, and audit readiness
• Promote adherence to IT security, data protection, energy regulation and compliance standards

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Profound experience with IT tools in the energy Sales and Business Operations domains
• Good understanding of Polish market processes
• Knowledge of European energy market processes is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of:
  • SalesForce
  • Technical Interfaces/API concepts
  • Application lifecycle management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a customer-oriented approach
• Proven project management and change management experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in Polish, fluent in English
