Job summary

Alarm.com is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Panels Team in Kraków. The role focuses on building the communication backbone for millions of IoT devices, delivering robust software and enabling seamless interoperability between devices.

You will work with cross-functional teams through the full SDLC, driving solutions that balance speed with long-term stability, and contributing ideas beyond strict specifications. This is a hybrid role with office commitment and occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming with C# preferred.
• Experience with database design, SQL, and backend development.
• IoT/home automation experience is a plus.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Curious mindset and a desire to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software for multiple platforms and technologies.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to solve complex challenges.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions meeting business and technical needs.
• Balance speed and quality by knowing when to ship quickly and when to build for long-term stability.
• Contribute ideas and insight to product development, beyond just implementing specifications.
