Job summary

Alarm.com is expanding in Krakow with a Software Engineer II on the HAX team. You will support delivering high-impact features end-to-end, primarily focused on backend and data, including edge computing and automation features.

Join a growing team building on a cloud-based IoT platform used by millions of homes and businesses. You will collaborate with Product Management and Quality Engineering, contribute to technical designs, and implement features across web, mobile, and backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Solid backend engineering skills building and maintaining HTTP APIs/services (REST and/or GraphQL).
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns, with experience in C#, .NET Core.
• Solid database fundamentals including schema design, query optimization, indexing.
• Fluency with modern toolchain: Git, CI/CD, JSON, YAML, and observability tooling.
• Demonstrated testing depth across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Experience providing feedback to peers and influencing code quality through reviews.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across product, design, and QA to drive technical decisions.

• Develop backend and device software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies.
• Participate in the entire project lifecycle with cross-team collaboration.
• Research and apply new technologies and methodologies to solve project goals.
• Write coherent, organized code with a high level of abstraction.
• Exercise good judgment between rapid delivery and robust solutions.
• Work hard with quick development cycles and evolving requirements.
• Contribute ideas to product development rather than just following a spec.
