Alarm.com is building a new Kraków-based Panels Team focused on the communication backbone for millions of smart home devices. Senior Software Engineer will own design and delivery across platforms, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure, and reliable software, with opportunities to work with cutting‑edge IoT tech and a strong collaborative culture in an office‑first environment with occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex projects.
• Advanced object‑oriented programming with C#.
• Strong experience with database design, SQL, and backend services.
• IoT experience or working with hardware is a plus.
• Solid testing strategies including unit and automated testing.
• Experience in distributed systems, real‑time communications, or high‑performance apps.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full‑stack software across diverse platforms and technologies.
• Architect scalable, high‑performance device protocol communications.
• Research emerging technologies and champion impactful adoption.
• Guide the SDLC from requirements through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other teams to deliver solutions.
• Make strategic technical decisions and set project direction.
• Mentor junior engineers with code reviews and architectural coaching.
• Drive continuous improvement in product and process.
