Job summary

Wella Company is seeking an Inventory Analyst to safeguard inventory accuracy across Wella and our logistics partners. You will work with distribution centres and 3PLs to investigate discrepancies, improve data quality and optimize inventory processes supporting reliable supply-chain operations.

You will perform reconciliation between WMS and SAP/ERP, monitor stock movements, and drive corrective actions to closure, ensuring audit-ready documentation and adherence to SOX controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in logistics, inventory management or supply-chain operations.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven problem solving.
• Detail-oriented with process-driven approach and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation between third-party WMS and Wella SAP/ERP.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor IDoc flows, root-cause analysis and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain IRA/V-IRA accuracy with reporting and improvement actions.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliant stock movements and traceability.
• Prepare inventory KPI reports and risk/action trackers.

Job description

We are looking for an Inventory Analyst who will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy and operational reliability across Wella and our logistics partners.

Working closely with distribution centres, third-party logistics providers and cross-functional teams, you will investigate inventory discrepancies, improve data quality and help optimize inventory processes that support efficient and reliable supply-chain operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform and document daily reconciliation between third-party warehouse management systems and Wella SAP/ERP, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
• Monitor inventory issues and IDoc flows, investigate incorrect or delayed transactions, determine root causes and track corrective actions to closure.
• Proactively investigate master-data accuracy and system issues; elevate to the appropriate teams and track actions to closure
• Maintain inventory record accuracy (IRA/V-IRA) through accurate reporting, discrepancy analysis and continuous improvement actions.
• Control stock movements, transfer postings and adjustments, ensuring cycle-count results and other inventory corrections are accurately reflected in SAP and supported by evidence.
• Analyze inventory gains and losses, damaged, obsolete, blocked stock and significant stock fluctuations; identify risks and coordinate resolution plans.
• Monitor product freshness, allocation and stock status, including last-selling-date requirements, extensions, blocked stock, incorrect batches, returns and adjustments.
• Ensure inventory booking and goods movements follow approved procedures, FIFO/FEFO principles, quality requirements and relevant stock-status rules.
• Monitor replenishment plans, inbound discrepancies and open-in-transit deliveries, align changes with stakeholders and drive timely closure.
• Support product customization and related system transactions, ensuring correct stock movements and inventory records throughout the process.
• Prepare accurate inventory KPI reporting and maintain a transparent action tracker for inventory risks, recurring issues and improvement opportunities, supported by reliable data and evidence.
• Ensure inventory management activities comply with Wella SOX controls and maintain complete, in time, accurate and audit-ready supporting documentation.
• Partner with distribution centres, 3PLs, IT, Master Data, Quality and other Wella teams to resolve system and process issues and improve inventory accuracy, data quality and operational reliability.
• Provide additional analysis on request to drive efficiencies.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG

• At least 3 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, warehousing or supply-chain operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, solve complex problems and translate findings into effective corrective actions.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a process-oriented mindset.
• Practical SAP knowledge and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems;
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with operational data and KPI reporting.
• Very good written and spoken English, with clear communication across internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative and solution-focused working style, with the confidence to escalate risks and follow actions through to closure.
• Flexibility to travel when required.
