Job summary

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Site Reliability Engineering across cloud platforms, automation, and security. You will guide a Global PRE team to build scalable, secure infrastructure and reliable APIs in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement with Generative AI and observability tools. Hybrid work with in-office days is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 8+ years of experience with JAVA, J2EE applications, and a deep understanding of REST & SOAP.
• 4+ years of experience managing applications on Containers (Docker) and Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of Generative AI capabilities to enable automation in the environment.
• Experience in 24x7 environments and rapid production troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and safety of application services and platforms; drive operational excellence.
• Maintain zero downtime by rapid root cause analysis and remediation in production.
• Oversee all activities within the environment, including deploying new code.
• Foster an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative team culture.
• Build strong partnerships with product management, engineering, design, and operations.
• Communicate effectively with technical and business partners on complex topics.
• Promote automation and Generative AI adoption to stay competitive.
• Lead cloud infrastructure adoption and migration with minimal downtime.
• Run cross-functional problem bridges and escalate issues when needed.
• Share important context with stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Ensure PRE team delivers robust, secure infrastructure for services.
