Job summary

Precisely is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, and scale of CCX, RCX, and HMS platforms. You will bridge software engineering and operations, building automation, observability, and reliability standards while mentoring engineers.

You will define SLOs/SLIs, drive incident response, and guide deployment readiness across on‑premises and AWS environments, including AI‑assisted engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of systems or infrastructure engineering experience in an enterprise production environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux) across on‑premises and cloud.
• Proficient with Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code; experienced with Ansible beyond basics.
• Experience deploying workloads in AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling).
• Proficiency with Python or Bash for automation.
• Experience designing monitoring architecture and alerting (Datadog preferred).
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, distributed systems.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation standards.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with root cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reliability standards across CCX, RCX, and HMS, including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Define actionable alerting, logging, and tracing standards; partner with engineering teams.
• Lead complex reliability engineering work across on‑premises, private cloud, and AWS environments.
• Build and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability tooling.
• Embed reliability, operability, scalability, and DR considerations into service design and delivery.
• Lead Operational Readiness Reviews and validate production readiness for changes.
• Contribute to release triage, deployment coordination, and change reviews.
• Lead response to complex incidents; act as incident commander when required.
• Author root cause analyses and preventive automation to reduce toil and MTTR.
• Maintain runbooks, reliability backlogs, and knowledge resources.
• Use AI tools for automation, incident analysis, runbook creation, and architecture documentation.
• Ensure infrastructure configurations meet security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
• Mentor engineers on production diagnostics and best practices; participate in cross‑team design reviews.
• Lead project work, manage on‑call coverage, and uphold operational discipline.
• Participate in rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours incidents.
