Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking a Business Analyst for Financial Services Consulting to support banking and capital markets across Europe. You will analyze requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate needs into user stories while learning about data, cloud, and regulatory programs.

The role collaborates with solution architects, developers, testers, and project managers in a hybrid Katowice setup, with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with clients, stakeholders or colleagues in German and English.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Exposure to banking, capital markets or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
• Translate business needs into user stories, business process models, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze and optimize business processes across Banking and Capital Markets functions.
• Support transformation initiatives including platform modernization, cloud migrations, and regulatory programs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, testers, POs, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform impact assessments, gap analysis, and root cause analysis for solution design.
• Support data analysis, data mapping, data migration, and system integration activities.
• Assist with test planning, UAT, defect triage, and release readiness.
• Ensure requirement traceability and maintain project documentation.
• Support change management and stakeholder communications as required.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders and contribute to business development opportunities.
