Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland, part of Sweco Group, is seeking a power engineering professional to develop conceptual and detailed designs for medium- and high-voltage substations. You will work on Danish installations from Poland, supporting tender documentation and coordination with senior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years in power installations, and strong English communication. Hybrid work options are available across Polish offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related relevant field;
• 2+ years experience in electrical engineering, power installations;
• Basic knowledge of medium- and/or high-voltage installations and electrical design principles;
• Familiarity with one or more of the following software tools will be an advantage: MicroStation, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, SEE Electrical or Caddy++;
• Willingness to learn and develop in the field of power engineering and substation design;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support the development of conceptual and detailed designs for medium- and high-voltage substations (10 kV – 50 kV) and assist in preparing tender documentation. The work will be related to Danish installations, with the design base located in Poland;
• Assist in analyzing existing installations and support preparation of recommendations for modifications or new installations;
• Support the preparation of technical documentation, including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, earthing system design, power and cable layouts, and profile drawings;
• Update and maintain existing drawings and technical documentation;
• Cooperate with experienced engineers and participate in project coordination activities;
• Support quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements;
• Assist in determining requirements for foundations and steel structures.
