Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design medium- and high-voltage substations from 10 kV to 50 kV. The role is based in Poland with base in Poland and involves coordinating transformer installations and producing detailed electrical drawings.

You will analyze existing installations, propose modifications, and prepare documentation for foundations and steel structures, while collaborating with teams across Europe. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and design of medium- and/or high-voltage power installations.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, or Caddy++.
• Familiarity with distribution and transmission systems ranging from 10 kV to 400 kV.
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for medium and high-voltage substations (10 kV – 50 kV) with the design base located in Poland.
• Analyze existing installations and provide recommendations for modifications or new installations.
• Apply knowledge of transformer installations (both theoretical and practical).
• Prepare technical documentation, including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, insulation coordination, earthing system design, power and cable layouts, and profile drawings.
• Update and maintain existing drawings and documentation.
• Determine requirements for foundations and steel structures.
