ABB in Krakow is seeking a HR Services Specialist to perform day-to-day HR transactions for Employee Life Cycle Management, Global Mobility and Compensation & Performance for Germany & Austria. The role is hybrid and contributes to delivering high-quality services with end-to-end responsibility. You will support HR Operations standards, ensure local regulatory compliance, and collaborate across functions to drive improvements and accuracy in processing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR Shared Services (ELC, Global Mobility, or Comp & Perf).
• Fluent in English and German with strong communication.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office; SNOW familiarity a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Execute and deliver HR services per agreed processes, KPIs and quality targets with end-to-end responsibility.
• Comply with control tasks (4-eye-check, SOX), data protection, and country regulations.
• Act as contact for HR inquiries across several service lines.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Resolve root causes to improve efficiency of complex tasks.

This position reports to:

HR Team Lead

HR Services Specialist performs day to day HR transactions for the Service Lines: Employee Life Cycle Management, Global Mobility and Compensation & Performance for Germany & Austria, handling operations, delivering high-quality services against globally performance targets. HR Services Specialist ensures a high degree of customer experience by committing to a complete, accurate and timely completion of HR transactions. In this role you will support the globally set of standards for HR Operations and ensure that the local legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to the respective business processes in a HR Operations Front Office / Hub.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

This role is contributing to the HR Operational Services in Krakow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Executing and delivering HR services in compliance with agreed business processes, Key Performance Indicators and quality targets in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner showing end-to-end responsibility
• Complying with and autonomously performs control tasks, including 4-eye-check / SOX checks, data protection and country legal / regulatory compliance tasks
• Acting as point of contact for inquiries regarding HR related topics and delivers support across several Service Lines
• Identifying deficiencies of existing business processes and proactively recommending enhancements and/or simplification based on day-to-day experience
• Effectively resolving Root Cause Analysis on time and highlighting potential process gaps. Addressing root causes to improve the efficiency of complex tasks/processes in case of issues

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly skilled in HR Shared Services for a global company, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as Employee Life Cycle Management, Talent Acquisition, or Global Mobility and Compensation & Performance.
• You have established skills in languages, being fluent in English and German.
• You are immersed in using specialized software/platforms such as SAP and MS Office, and familiarity with SNOW would be beneficial.
• You are passionate about managing multiple demands on your time and innovative around working in cross-functional teams.
• You have a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate a proactive way of working to serve customers with a "can-do" attitude.
• You possess strong written and spoken communication skills and a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
