Job summary

ABB in Krakow is seeking an HR Operations Specialist on a fixed-term maternity cover until the end of April 2028. The role is hybrid and reports to HR Team Lead, handling end-to-end HR service delivery for a global or local geography.

You will process HR requests across the employee life cycle, maintain SAP and Workday data, and support policy communication and process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Fluency in English and German is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in HR Shared Services or related roles.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Experience with SAP, Workday; MS Office; ServiceNow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HR service support to the HR community, business managers and employees according to defined Service Level Agreements.
• Process HR requests related to multiple service lines for an assigned group of employees, covering the full life cycle including data entry in SAP and Workday and creation of employment-related documents.
• Ensure systems and databases have up-to-date employee and organizational information with high data quality and accuracy, and provide reports as required.
• Communicate information about policies and standards to internal customers clearly and concisely to ensure adoption.
• Drive HR service improvements by analyzing customer feedback and enhancing business process efficiency.
• Participate in projects to upgrade HR tools and systems.

This position reports to:

HR Team Lead

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive HR Operations globally or in a respective geography. Each day, you will take full accountability for the end-to-end operations and deliver high-quality services against agreed performance targets.

You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring a high degree of customer experience and by being responsible for people management in the given geographical scope.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

This is a fixed term role (maternity cover) with duration estimated until end of April 2028.

This role is contributing to the HR Operational Services in Krakow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Delivering HR Service support to the HR community, business managers and employees according to defined Service Level Agreements.
• Processing HR requests related to multiple service lines for an assigned group of employees, covering the full scope of employee life cycle activities, including data entry in SAP and Workday systems and the creation of employment-related documents.
• Ensuring that systems and databases have up-to-date employee and organizational information with high data quality and accuracy, and providing reports where required
• Communicating information about policies and standards to internal customers clearly and concisely to ensure adoption
• Driving HR service improvements by analyzing customer feedback and enhancing business process efficiency.
• Participating in projects to upgrade HR tools and systems.

Qualification for the role:

• You are highly skilled in HR Shared Services for a global company, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as Employee Life Cycle Management, Talent Acquisition, or Global Mobility and Compensation & Performance.
• You have established skills in languages, being fluent in English and German.
• You are immersed in using specialized software/platforms such as SAP, Workday and MS Office, and familiarity with ServiceNow would be beneficial.
• You are passionate about managing multiple demands on your time and innovative around working in cross-functional teams.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree and demonstrate a proactive way of working to serve customers with a “can-do” attitude.
• You possess strong written and spoken communication skills and a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
