Friends And Partners is recruiting a Head of IT for a leading FMCG manufacturer in Warsaw, hybrid work model. You will own end-to-end IT, drive digital transformation, and align technology with business objectives across production sites and offices.

As a strategic leader, you will shape the IT roadmap, manage infrastructure, ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, and application development, while building a high-performing team and collaborating with OT for smart manufacturing initiatives.

Position: Head of IT - FMCG

Location: Warsaw / Hybrid

Company & Role Overview

On behalf of our Client, a leading FMCG manufacturer with a strong market position and a well-established production footprint, we are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead the organization’s technology landscape and digital transformation journey.

This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the end-to-end IT function, including infrastructure, architecture, application development, maintenance, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in modernizing IT capabilities, driving innovation, and enabling business growth through technology, while working closely with Operational Technology (OT) to ensure seamless integration across manufacturing and business systems.

The role requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong blend of strategic vision and operational excellence, capable of building a scalable, secure, and future-ready IT environment.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s IT and digital transformation strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Own and manage the full IT landscape, including infrastructure, enterprise architecture, applications, and cybersecurity.
• Drive the modernization of systems, including cloud adoption, ERP optimization, and digital platforms.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems across all locations, including production sites.
• Collaborate closely with Operational Technology (OT) teams to integrate IT and OT environments, supporting smart manufacturing initiatives.
• Lead application development, system integration, and ongoing maintenance to support business operations.
• Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and external partners.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing IT organization.
• Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders across functions including Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure alignment with global IT standards (if applicable) and support international collaboration.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end IT functions, including infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity.
• Experience working at the interface of IT and Operational Technology (OT) in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Experience managing external vendors and large-scale IT budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a matrix environment.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
