Job summary

Capital.com seeks a senior leader to own and develop the IT Asset Management function, aligning it with the VP of IT Operations. You will shape a trusted data platform across software, SaaS, on-prem, and hardware, and drive automated services for the wider business.

You will build and lead a small multidisciplinary team, partner with Security, Finance and Vendor Management, and ensure data accuracy and actionable spend insights with a Service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building lightweight process systems in regulated environments.
• Track record delivering against an agreed strategy and roadmap with independent judgment.
• Deep experience working with large data sets and understanding data-driven decisions.
• Record of delivering data services used by other departments beyond reporting.
• Strong service-model understanding: building services for others while running own operations.
• Experience building and operating data warehouses for applied use.
• Experience in hybrid infrastructure (on-premise plus cloud).
• Excellent stakeholder skills: negotiating with business people and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Asset Management function per VP of IT Operations strategy.
• Deliver data and services to other functions by capturing needs and building solutions.
• Own the IT asset register across software, SaaS, on-premise, development stack and hardware.
• Operate a trusted data source on assets and spend; build automation on top of it.
• Keep asset data controls lightweight and non-duplicated to drive decisions.
• Lead asset-driven budgeting and reporting for Finance; provide data services.
• Partner with Vendor Management to optimise procurement and with Security to reduce Shadow IT.
• Integrate with Atlassian services (Jira, Confluence, Jira Assets, JSM) and the asset data platform.
• Lead integration of purchased solutions to standard processes and manage offboarding.
• Line-manage and develop the asset management team.
