Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an IT Asset Management Manager in Kraków to lead global hardware and software asset strategies within the Infrastructure, Security & Services Organization. You will drive governance, implement policies, and manage the asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal.

You will collaborate with IT service providers, optimize licensing, track usage and entitlements, report KPIs to senior stakeholders, and mentor a distributed team while ensuring regulatory compliance and data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Asset Management experience with governance and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of core ITIL processes.
• Experience in multinational environments with distributed teams.
• Deep knowledge of HAM, SAM, ITAM best practices, licensing and cloud cost management.
• Hands-on with ITAM tools like ServiceNow ITAM/SAM and Flexera.
• Experience with audits, contracts, and renewals.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve global ITAM strategy, policies and standards for Hardware & Software Assets
• Provide leadership, vision, strategic planning and execution of ITAM processes
• Manage all aspects of IT asset lifecycle — from purchase to disposal
• Collaborate with IT service providers and product owners to manage and optimize assets, services and support
• Lead software license and cloud entitlement management: track usage, optimize entitlements, manage renewals and reduce overspend
• Establish and report ITAM KPIs to senior stakeholders
• Support budgeting and forecasting for hardware and software spend
• Lead, mentor and grow a distributed ITAM team
• Manage optimizations and integrations of ITAM tools
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
• Maintain the accuracy of the Asset Management Database within Service Now
• IAct as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Drive sustainable disposal and data sanitation practices

The IT Asset Management Manager will be a part of the Infrastructure, Security & Services Organisation, reporting directly into the Head of Service Management & Performance.

You Will

• Design, implement and continuously improve global ITAM strategy, policies and standards for Hardware & Software Assets
• Provide leadership, vision, strategic planning and execution of ITAM processes
• Manage all aspects of IT asset lifecycle — from purchase to disposal
• Collaborate with all IT service providers and product owners to manage and optimize the assets, services and support
• Lead software license and cloud entitlement management: track usage, optimize entitlements, manage renewals and reduce overspend
• Establish and report ITAM KPIs (inventory accuracy, compliance position, cost savings, asset utilization, refresh cadence, etc) to senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for hardware and software spend
• Lead, mentor and grow a distributed ITAM team
• Manage optimalizations and integrations of ITAM tools
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
• Maintain the accuracy of the Asset Management Database within Service Now
• Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Drive sustainable disposal and e-waste practices in line with Environmental and data sanitation policies

You Have

• 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management and a strong background in ITAM governance and vendor management
• Comprehensive understanding of core ITIL Processes
• Proven experience operating in a multinational environment with distributed teams and complex procurement and licensing models
• Strong knowledge of HAM, SAM, ITAM best practices, asset lifecycle management, software licensing (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, VMware), and cloud cost & entitlement management
• Hands-on experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITAM/SAM, Flexera) and CMDB/ITSM/ERP integrations
• Experience managing vendor relationships, audits and contract/renewal negotiations
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks and secure disposal and data sanitization requirements
• Fluency in English
