Job summary

Instant Impact is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to establish and lead a global payroll function across multiple jurisdictions. You will work with HR, Finance and key stakeholders to deliver a scalable operating model, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing and continuous improvement.

The role involves transforming payroll processes, managing outsourced providers, and building a high-performing payroll team as the function expands within a growing international business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations within a multinational environment.
• Experience establishing, centralising or transforming payroll functions.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, controls and governance across jurisdictions.
• Experience managing outsourced payroll providers and third-party vendors.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with HR, Finance and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop a global payroll function and operating model.
• Manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure payroll is delivered accurately, on time and in line with local regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers and monitor service performance.
• Implement payroll processes, controls, governance frameworks and documentation.
• Drive payroll transformation, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support payroll audits, reporting obligations and compliance activities.
• Partner with HR, Finance and business stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
• Act as the escalation point for payroll queries and complex issues.
• Build and develop the payroll team as the function grows.
