We are proud to have the support of the best investors who believe in our mission, solutions and people. Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business, society, and the environment? Come join us.

Location: Remote and/or a possible short-term relocation to Hamburg (business dependent) in the first 4-6 months, after which permanent relocation to Warsaw.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly capable Operations Associate to join the European Operations team and support the expansion of Flexport into Poland. Spend the first 4-6 months embedded in our DACH HQ in Hamburg to master Flexport operating processes, systems and software and support our growth in Poland by driving operational quality and best-in-class customer service.

The Operations team is a critical component of making Flexport’s mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. The team delights customers, manages partners, and collaborates with our technology team to drive innovation through process automation. Flexport Global Operations uses data to manage customer supply chains and identify opportunities to improve fidelity in planning, responsiveness and execution.

As an Operations Associate you will be responsible for setting up and executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network. You will coordinate multimodal supply chain operations within your region with a focus on driving first-in-class customer experience through quality and on-time performance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong problem-solving mindset, customer obsession, and deep operational knowledge of the Polish freight market. It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to company growth and help make global trade easy for everyone.

Responsibilities
  • Be the “front line” in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately. Support the team in escalations, high-complexity movements, delicate communication, and other tactical touchpoints.
  • Support the manager in guiding the team to improve performance, including data quality and shipment milestone timeliness; ensure work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and support building scalable operational infrastructure and procedures to deliver high efficiency and productivity for customers. Continuously look for improvements and take action.
  • Represent Flexport’s value proposition by leading business implementation and shipment execution for new clients and opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external escalations, solving client issues quickly and ensuring smooth operations at origin/destination; escalate issues as needed and maintain cost-conscious behavior.
Team goals
  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners such as steamship lines, intermodal and drayage vendors, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, transloading, and trucking.
  • Execute end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
  • Assist shipments managed by partners to drive partner autonomy (if applicable in the region).
You have
  • A BA/BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics / supply chain, and/or ocean freight operations (multimodal operations a plus) in Poland.
  • Knowledge of local Port/Terminal software systems.
  • Fluent in English and Polish (other European languages a plus).
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize a large volume of tasks.
  • Hands-on, process-oriented, structured thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build feedback loops within the team for a product or service.
  • Teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • Client service mindset with a focus on client satisfaction and problem-solving for clients.
  • Experience designing and optimizing processes and ability to build consensus among diverse opinions.
  • A “compliance first” attitude to operate in a heavily regulated industry.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and/or relocate to Hamburg, Germany (business dependent) in the first 4-6 months, after which permanent relocation to Poland.
Commitment to Equal Opportunity

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, health status, marital and family status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
