Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant for our German entity. You will manage month-end close, statutory reporting under HGB, and reconciliations while coordinating with outsourced accounting partners and tax advisors.

Strong German and English language skills are essential, as is comfort in a fast-paced, scaling environment. The role focuses on accrual accounting, close processes, and audit readiness, ensuring compliance with both German and US GAAP reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years accounting experience in GL, revenue or financial operations.
• Fluency in German and English for statutory communication and audits.
• Working knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) vs US GAAP.
• Familiarity with Jahresabschluss, VAT, and corporate tax concepts.
• Strong accrual accounting, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Proficient in Excel and handling large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: post journals, accruals, revenue and expense adjustments.
• Maintain German statutory records and prepare Jahresabschluss under HGB.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Support intercompany and vendor reconciliations with global teams.
• Provide cross-functional support for reporting and controls.
