Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support our German entity’s month-end close, statutory reporting, and reconciliations. You will prepare accruals, run reconciliations, and ensure books comply with German GAAP (HGB) as well as US GAAP requirements, coordinating with external partners and tax advisors in a fast-growth environment.

Fluency in German and English is required, and strong Excel skills are essential in this fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in general ledger, revenue accounting, or financial operations.
Fluency in German and English, spoken and written, to manage statutory correspondence and audits.
Working knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and its difference from US GAAP.
Familiarity with Jahresabschluss process and German statutory audits.
Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post month-end journal entries including accruals, revenue and expense adjustments.
Perform reconciliations and support variance analysis for month-end results.
Ensure German entity close activities align with US GAAP and German GAAP (HGB).
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany/vendor reconciliations.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and audit stakeholders for statutory reporting.
