Job summary

HS Financial Technologies seeks a Fund Accounting Supervisor to lead a small team of Fund Accountants, ensuring timely NAV calculations and accurate reconciliations under supervision. You will mentor the NAV team and drive development initiatives while maintaining strict controls and client service standards.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, 3+ years in hedge fund administration, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
• 3+ years’ experience in hedge fund administration.
• Intention to pursue professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA).
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Review cash, position and market value reconciliations.
• Identify and address break items on reconciliations.
• Review fund pricing.
• Review corporate actions.
• Review profit and loss reports for reasonableness.
• Review income and expense accruals including fee calculations and trading accruals.
• Review fund trial balance.
• Review profit allocations to fund investors.
• Review compliance with HSFT defined checklists, procedures and controls.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve miscellaneous fund issues.
• Escalate fund accounting issues in line with defined procedures and aged items to Fund Accounting Assistant Manager.
• Respond to client queries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in the audit process including preparation of fund financial statements.
• Assist team development by providing guidance, training and mentoring to Fund Accountants, setting their goals and monitoring performance.
• Ensure pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently.
