Job summary

HS Financial Technologies (HSFT) is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee NAV calculations and client relationships in a hedge fund admin setting. You will guide up to 10 staff, ensure a strong control environment, and contribute to process improvements and client onboarding.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business/finance, 6+ years in hedge fund administration, and a willingness to pursue professional qualifications. Remote/hybrid options and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
• 6 years’ hedge fund administration experience; 1 year at Assistant Manager level preferred.
• Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA).
• IT literate with strong written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible and able to work in a team or independently.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Take ownership and act as a role model for HSFT.

Responsibilities

• Build and support client relationships involving interaction with both the client and the Fund Accounting Director to ensure consistency of service.
• Ensure the assigned fund accounting team operates within the defined control environment.
• Lead and support client teams of up to 10 employees.
• Support the resolution of fund accounting enquiries escalated by Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
• Ensure aged items are addressed in a timely manner.
• Review daily and monthly NAV calculations.
• Develop and improve NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
• Review fee calculations and profit and loss allocations.
• Review monthly, yearly and inception-to-date performance.
• Manage the audit process ensuring timely completion of fund audits.
• Investigate accounting implications of new products.
• Manage and complete client initialization and transition.
• Participate in development and presentation of fund accounting training.
• Manage fund accounting recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
