Job summary

Saily is seeking a data-focused engineer to own the data modeling, semantic layer, and analytics infrastructure. You will turn raw data into reliable models used by the analytics team and AI, working across Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

You’ll lead data expansion as a founding member of the Data team, shaping standards, governance, and scalable data solutions across the company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar data-focused role.
• Strong hands-on experience with data modeling and schema design, including dimensional modeling and semantic layers.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience turning raw data into scalable analytical models.
• Experience owning or shaping analytics architecture while staying hands-on.
• Strong product and business thinking — understand data meaning and usage.

Responsibilities

• Become a founding member of Saily's Data team and lead the vertical.
• Own data modeling and schema design across Saily.
• Turn raw data into clean, scalable data models.
• Build a clear semantic layer with consistent entities, relationships, metrics, and definitions.
• Make data easy to understand for people and AI.
• Own and evolve analytics infrastructure and tooling.
• Set standards around data quality, documentation, naming, and governance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing to reflect data needs.
