Job summary

Promise Group seeks a Senior Data & AI Engineer to design and deliver scalable Data & AI solutions for clients across sectors. You will translate complex business needs into technical strategies, working closely with customers and internal teams.

You will own semantic data models in Power BI, develop advanced DAX, and leverage Microsoft Fabric for lakehouses, pipelines, and notebooks. You’ll mentor peers and contribute to best practices while supporting AI initiatives.

Qualifications

Deep, hands-on experience with Power BI, including semantic model design and data modelling (star schema, relationships, calculation groups).
Strong DAX skills - comfortable writing complex measures, not just basic aggregations.
Solid working knowledge of SQL.
Working familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks).
Comfortable navigating a PySpark notebook even without fluency - willing to read, adapt, and troubleshoot code.
Experience with deploying AI solutions in a business or customer environment.
Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Customer-oriented mindset: you enjoy working directly with customers and focus on creating business value, not just delivering technical requirements.
Strong sense of ownership and willingness to take responsibility for solutions and outcomes.
Proactive approach: you identify problems and opportunities and recommend solutions.
Experience working in an IT services or consulting environment.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good command of English (at least B2).
Hands-on PySpark development experience.
Experience mentoring other engineers or taking technical leadership of solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Data & AI solutions for our customers.
Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, proactively recommending solutions, improvements and new opportunities.
Design, build and maintain semantic models in Power BI, with a strong focus on data modelling best practices.
Develop advanced DAX measures and calculation logic to support complex business reporting needs.
Work within Microsoft Fabric to support, extend and troubleshoot your BI solutions - lakehouses , dataflows, pipelines.
Use notebooks ( PySpark /SQL) within Microsoft Fabric to inspect and perform light data transformations.
Develop and work with Data Agents in Microsoft Fabric.
Participate in the development and deployment of AI solutions.
Collaborate with Data Engineers , BI Developers, Architects and other technical specialists.
Take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and deployment.
Troubleshoot existing solutions and continuously look for ways to improve their performance, quality and usability.
Share knowledge and contribute to the development of Data & AI best practices and capabilities within the team.
Support and mentor less experienced team members.
