payabl. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and analytics, turning raw data into clean datasets for analysis in a modern lakehouse environment. You will own data models, quality checks, and semantic metrics to support analysts and business stakeholders.

You will work with dbt, Python/pandas, and orchestration tools like Airflow, collaborating across engineers and domain leads to deliver reliable data for reporting and decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL with data transformation experience (dbt preferred).
• Proficiency in Python with pandas for analysis and validation.
• Experience with ELT/ETL design, orchestration tools (Airflow).
• Familiarity with data lakehouse/warehouse tech and data quality testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models and transformations.
• Implement automated data quality checks across pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate requirements.
• Perform sanity checks to resolve data inconsistencies and missing values.
• Contribute to the semantic layer and documented metrics.
