Job summary

Propersona in Warsaw is seeking a Financial Asset Supervisor to join our client in the renewable energy sector. You will coordinate accounting entries, work with an external service provider, and prepare financial statements and tax reports for selected assets.

You will liaise with banks, support budgeting and financial analysis, and contribute to process improvements across Polish operations. This role offers hybrid work and long-term collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in accounting processes with financial analysis and budgeting.
• Experience in energy/RES sector is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Polish tax system and financial controls.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is an international company in the renewable energy sector (wind farms, gas power plants, photovoltaics, BESS energy storage). Currently, we are looking for a competent person for the position of Financial Asset Supervisor at the Warsaw branch.

• Close cooperation with an external accounting service provider handling the financial aspects of selected external RES assets in Poland:
  • accuracy of accounting entries,
  • completeness of accounting entries,
  • regular reconciliation of balances,
  • preparation of financial statements and tax reports,
  • preparation of annual financial statements and coordination of the statutory audit,
  • payment process.
• Supervision/Involvement in coordination and preparation of monthly financial management packages for assigned assets.
• Close cooperation with banks
• Participation in design/ improvement of financial processes with Polish business team and Group functions
• Preparation of reporting package for customer assets
• Preparation of reporting package for Financial Group in Europe
  • active cooperation with the Group on the content of reporting package
  • proposal of changes and improvements
• Close Cooperation with Group Accounting/Group Controlling team on accounting policies and procedures
• Cooperation with Group Tax team on arising tax matters
• Cooperation with local accounting and tax advisers
• Participation in business projects as finance representatives
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting processes including practical knowledge & involvement in financial analysis and budgeting.
• Experience in energy/RES sector will be an important advantage.
• Experience in financial supervision of separate assets/ entities will be an important advantage
• Good understanding of financial control concept (reconciliations, robust process design, checklists).
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts
• Good understanding of management accounting and financial analysis
• Practical understanding of Polish tax system and its impact on the business.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• ERP systems (MS Navision or MS Business Central will be an advantage)
• Strong Excel (knowledge of Power BI/ Power Query will be an advantage)
• Work-flow solutions.
• Open to use actively AI in financial processes.
• Not being afraid of new technology.
• Good command of English allowing open communication (minimum B2 level)
