Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience, preferably in energy/renewable sectors.
• Proven track record in securing and structuring project finance and other financing.

Responsibilities

Job description

For our client - a dynamic and growing company active in the renewable energy sector - we are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead the company's finance function and support its continued growth and expansion.

The company develops and manages renewable energy projects across selected international markets, with a focus on wind farms and other large-scale energy investments.

The Finance Director will work closely with senior management, shareholders, investors, banks and other financial institutions, taking a key role in project financing, investment decisions and the further development of the company's finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the finance function, ensuring effective financial management, governance and business support across the organization
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and management reporting
• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, supporting its growth, investment plans and expansion
• Lead the financing of renewable energy projects, including project finance, debt and equity financing, and the structuring of appropriate funding solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, funds and other financial institutions
• Oversee financial modelling, investment analysis and valuation of renewable energy projects and new business opportunities
• Partner with commercial, investment, development and project teams on strategic initiatives and major investments, assessing their financial implications, returns and risks
• Ensure appropriate financial controls, risk management and compliance across the organisation and its activities
• Oversee the financial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle, from development and investment decisions through to execution and operation
• Lead and develop the finance team, building the capabilities, processes and structures required to support the company's continued growth
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior management and shareholders, supporting strategic decision-making and long-term value creation
• Represent the company in key financial and business relationships, including with external partners, investors and financing institutions

Candidate Profile:

• Several years of relevant senior finance experience, ideally gained as a Finance Director, CFO, Deputy CFO, Head of Finance or in a comparable senior finance role
• Must-have experience in the energy / renewable energy sector. Experience in real estate, infrastructure or another capital-intensive, project-based environment will also be considered
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial reporting
• Proven track record of securing and structuring financing, ideally including project finance, debt or equity financing
• Experience working with banks, investors, funds and other financial institutions
• Experience managing the full finance function and leading and developing a finance team
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with shareholders, senior management and external partners
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, rapidly growing and changing organization
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and further develop a scalable finance function
• Experience working in an international and multi-market environment will be an advantage
• Fluent Polish and English
