Job summary

Marqeta, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the transition and ongoing delivery of core financial processes for TransactPay. You will oversee banking entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and ICFR/SOX controls, while driving standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

The role partners with Gibraltar, Malta, and US teams and can be performed in a hybrid model from Warsaw. You will manage a small finance team, ensure accurate month-end close, and align with IFRS and local

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA/CIMA or EU equivalent (or in progress).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years managing or leading a team.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Hands-on experience with complex reconciliations, high-volume journal entries, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of a SOX/ICFR environment.

Responsibilities

• Banking journal entries: post and automate postings, manage multi-currency ledger.
• Account reconciliations: own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely certification.
• Customer invoicing/billing: manage billing runs and reconcile with data.
• SOX control execution: perform ICFR controls and maintain evidence.
• Transition and stabilization: lead knowledge transfer and establish SLAs/KPIs.
• Team and stakeholder management: coach finance team and coordinate with stakeholders.
