Job summary

Marqeta, Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the transition of four core processes from TransactPay and then manage ongoing delivery. You will oversee bank journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and SOX controls, building automated solutions and stabilizing operations.

You will work with teams in Gibraltar, Malta, and the US to align ICFR/SOX with group consolidation and close cycles, while guiding a small finance team from Warsaw in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or EU equivalent (or in progress).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years managing or leading a team.
• Advanced, hands-on knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Working knowledge of a SOX / internal-controls (ICFR) environment.

Responsibilities

• Post bank and cash activity into the NetSuite general ledger with automation.
• Maintain multi-currency bank ledger and support FX translation/revaluation.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations for transitioned entities and ensure timely review and certification.
• Manage customer invoicing and billing and reconcile to underlying data.
• Execute ICFR/SOX controls and maintain audit-ready evidence.
• Lead knowledge transfer, establish SLAs/KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop the finance team and support monthly/quarterly/annual close.
