Job summary

Demant Polska in Szczecin is seeking a Finance Process Automation Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services team. You will analyze accounting and finance processes, identify automation opportunities, and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency and quality.

You will design, implement, and maintain automation using Excel, VBA, Power Query, Microsoft Power Platform, and RPA tools, while supporting Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, IT or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with business processes in Accounting or Shared Services.
• Fluent Polish and English; able to work with global stakeholders and technical docs.
• Advanced MS Excel, VBA and PowerQuery.
• Experience automating finance or accounting processes.
• Understanding of accounting areas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, self-driven and able to work independently.
• Curious about new technologies and continuous improvement.
• Able to translate business needs into workable solutions.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Finance Process Automation Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services organization in Szczecin. In this role, you will work closely with accounting and finance teams to identify automation opportunities, simplify processes, and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency and quality. You will be involved in the full solution lifecycle, from business analysis and development to testing, deployment, documentation, and end-user support.

• Analyze accounting and finance processes to identify automation opportunities and improvement areas.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions using tools such as Excel, VBA, Power Query, Microsoft Power Platform, RPA, AI-enabled solutions, and other available technologies.
• Assess automation opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility, implementation effort, risk, and maintainability.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, IT, or a related field.
• Have at least 3 years of experience working with business processes in Accounting, Shared Services, or a similar environment.
• Are fluent in Polish and proficient in English, including working with global stakeholders and technical documentation.
• Have advanced practical knowledge of MS Excel, VBA and PowerQuery.
• Have experience automating finance or accounting processes.
• Have practical understanding of one or more accounting areas.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Are proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working independently.
• Are curious about new technologies and committed to continuous improvement.
• Can effectively communicate with business users and translate their needs into workable solutions.

• Have experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX and report development.
• Have experience working with robotic process automation (RPA) tools, Power Apps or Power Automate.
• Have practical experience using generative AI tools to support automation or productivity improvements.
• Can analyze end-to-end processes, identify root causes, and distinguish between opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation.
