Job summary

Simple Life is looking for an Analytics Engineer to become the owner of our finance data. You will consolidate data from multiple sources, improve quality, and support reconciliation to keep financial models reliable.

You’ll work with payment analysts and data engineers, own the area, and ensure the numbers behind reporting and planning are accurate and actionable for business leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role.
• Experience building data models with dbt.
• Commercial experience with real-world financial or payments data.
• Experience owning reconciliation and/or data-quality processes, including monitoring and incident resolution.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to set direction and align teams.

Responsibilities

• Care for the finance data domain end to end. You'll be the person the company trusts on finance data;
• Develop, maintain, and improve data products for finance department (reports, alerts, automations, etc) including financial data models in Pigment using Python, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt;
• Build and run continuous monitoring for data freshness, completeness, quality, and reconciliation breaks; investigate incidents and drive them to resolution;
• Develop LLM agents to accelerate analysis, tooling, documentation, and automation across the finance data stack.
