Job summary

Simple Life is seeking an Analytics Engineer to become the owner of our finance data. This hands-on role merges data from multiple sources, improves quality, runs reconciliations, and ensures finance models are reliable for reporting and planning.

You will collaborate with payment analysts and data engineers, build data products using Python, Snowflake, Airflow and dbt, and develop LLM-powered tooling to accelerate analysis and automation while maintaining clear, auditable numbers for Finance

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Experience building data models with dbt.
• Commercial experience with real-world financial or payments data.
• Experience owning reconciliation and data-quality processes.
• Ownership mindset to drive data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Care for the finance data domain end to end.
• Develop, maintain, and improve data products for finance department (reports, alerts, automations, etc) including financial data models in Pigment using Python, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
• Build and run continuous monitoring for data freshness, completeness, quality, and reconciliation breaks; investigate incidents and drive them to resolution.
• Develop LLM agents to accelerate analysis, tooling, documentation, and automation across the finance data stack.
