Samba Data Delivery is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a dual-discipline team spanning a frontend platform and data delivery. You will report to the Sr.

Director of Engineering and manage Engineering Managers and senior ICs, driving delivery across multiple streams with a focus on scale, reliability, and quality. You will set the technical direction, own hiring and performance, and collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Platform Engineering to deliver high-impact outcomes

• Lead, mentor, and grow Engineering Managers and senior engineers across both teams.
• Own hiring, performance management, and career development across your department.
• Set goals, rituals, and execution cadences across a geographically distributed organisation.
• Develop and execute on organisational priorities, workforce planning, and department-level objectives.
• Set the technical direction and roadmap for both teams, guiding architectural evolution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee frontend platform and data delivery architectures, ensuring scalable, reliable systems.
• Drive system re-architecture to reduce single points of failure and improve extensibility.
• Manage full-stack delivery including React-based frontend, REST/GraphQL APIs, and backend data processing.
• Champion best practices: observability, CI/CD, incident management, data quality, and testing.
