Job summary

Soar in Warszawa is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers building AI-driven home-financing software. You will own delivery from requirements to production, maintain high quality, and mentor engineers in using AI agents effectively.

You will coach, review designs, embed tests, and collaborate with Product, QA and DevOps to accelerate releases. Experience with APIs, databases, CI/CD, cloud and AI coding assistants is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering and 2+ years leading engineers or managing a team.
• Hands-on experience building production applications with APIs, databases, testing, CI/CD and cloud systems.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agents to deliver production software.
• Ability to review and debug AI-generated code and ensure proper validation.
• Strong planning, communication, and coaching skills with a track record of delivering through a team.

Responsibilities

• Own the team’s delivery from requirements through production with clear scope and priorities.
• Coach engineers to use AI agents effectively for implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Break down complex work into tasks with context for agents and validate results against product requirements.
• Review designs and code changes, challenge AI assumptions, and ensure maintainability.
• Embed automated tests, CI checks, security checks, and end-to-end validation into delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to resolve blockers and prepare releases.
• Run one-to-ones, give actionable feedback, and support career growth.
• Improve team practices using delivery metrics and AI usage costs.
