Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-scale platform engineering team responsible for JVM and .NET health, DevOps tooling, CI/CD, observability, and deployment infrastructure across FinTech products.

The role focuses on platform reliability, cost efficiency, developer velocity, and AI readiness, with the team based in Warsaw. Candidates should be engineers specializing in .NET or Java and capable of strategic stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform engineering teams in a large-scale environment.
• Strong background in JVM or .NET platforms and DevOps tooling.
• Proven ability to drive reliability, cost efficiency and developer velocity.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages a cross-functional platform engineering team.
• Drives platform adoption and removes blockers across product teams.
• Oversees infrastructure provisioning, cloud resource management, and AKS.
• Coordinates fleet-scale migrations and upgrades (Java, .NET, Spring Boot).
• Optimizes CI/CD pipelines, canary releases, and config versioning.
• Integrates AI tools to accelerate developer velocity company-wide.
• Manages capacity, sequencing, and Azure budgeting.
• Runs team ceremonies and provides performance feedback.
• Assesses and validates logging costs; considers alternative backends.
• Scales pipeline throughput to match AI-driven development speed.
• Modernizes JVM and .NET platforms and tracks library adoption.
• Balances roadmap deadlines with team capacity and interruptions.
• Maintains strong stakeholder relationships and cloud governance.
