Job summary

Guidewire Software is seeking a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead an EMEA SRE team of 10 to 15 engineers, owning reliability, performance, and resilience of the Guidewire Cloud Platform. The role requires deep SRE knowledge, strong leadership, and a software-first approach.

You will mentor senior ICs and leads, enforce observability and PRRs, and drive cross-functional initiatives to keep cloud solutions highly reliable.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of core SRE principles and concepts (SLIs/SLOs).
• Experience leading 10+ engineers and team leads in SRE/engineering.
• Proven ability to analyze distributed systems and drive results.
• Excellent communication to align stakeholders and drive goals.
• 10–12 years of related work experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 10–17 person SRE team across the EMEA region.
• Set and track operational goals, PRRs, and observability best practices.
• Translate company strategy into department goals and actions.
• Oversee large cross-functional projects and complex reliability problems.
• Manage regional incident response and postmortem actions.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Allocate resources and schedules to meet business targets.
• Promote automation to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
