Job summary

Altium is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability and performance of its cloud platforms. You will automate operational tasks, improve observability and contribute to incident management while collaborating with development and technology teams.

You will pioneer reliability frameworks, foster a shared responsibility model and drive deployment automation with IaC across regions and environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps or related role in large-scale environments.
• Software development experience, ideally with .NET.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, microservice and HA architectures.
• Observability: NewRelic, ELK, Grafana, PagerDuty, OTEL or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters in production, AWS, IaaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand how the Altium Cloud Platform works and operates at scale.
• Improve observability through logging, monitoring and APM to boost reliability.
• Develop reliability frameworks and patterns across regions and environments.
• Foster a shared responsibility model with engineering teams on reliability.
• Contribute to incident response, rapid resolution, and post-incident analysis.
• Engage in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with DevOps/Operations to promote IaC and streamline deployments.
• Promote SOO principles for accountability and clear service ownership.
