Job summary

BMC Software in Poland is seeking an EMEA Senior Tax Associate to join our team, focusing on income tax accounting, compliance, planning, and audits.

You will collaborate with accounting, treasury, and legal to prepare quarterly income tax provisions for 20+ entities, assist with compliance, and forecast cash tax.

RA certification is preferred; large corporate tax experience and US GAAP ASC 740 knowledge are highly desirable; strong communication and initiative are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review income tax returns prepared by outside consultants and perform accrual calculations.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting.
• Assist with indirect tax matters such as VAT and withholding tax compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations.

BMC is seeking an EMEA Sr Tax Associate to join its EMEA office based in Poland. This position will report directly to the EMEA Sr Tax manager based in the Netherlands and will focus primarily on income tax accounting and compliance, research, planning, and audits. The position will require interaction and partnership with the corporate accounting group, treasury, legal, and other business groups within BMC. The ideal candidate should have excellent management and analytical skills, motivation, and confidence to independently address issues.

• Preparation of quarterly income tax accounting provisions for BMC’s 20+ EMEA entities / countries for the consolidated US GAAP financial statements and local statutory financial statements (including tax disclosures).
• Assist with outside tax consultants preparation of income tax compliance in each country.
• Review of income tax returns prepared by outside consultants and preparation of return to accrual calculations.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting.
• Assist with indirect tax matters such as VAT and withholding tax compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations, identify and implement necessary changes.

• RA certification preferred or in process
• Large corporate tax experience preferred; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Strong technical tax background; strong compliance skills

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is zł 140,175 - zł 233,625 gross per annum and 10% annual incentive target bonus.
