Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Customs Expert to lead the Global Customs team for EMEA, overseeing operations across approximately 10 manufacturing units with high cross-border activity. You will ensure regulatory compliance, provide expert support on tariff classification, origin rules, and valuation, and collaborate with Global Customs to implement policy globally.

The role requires strong EU customs knowledge, 5+ years of experience, and proven ERP data-management skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, finance, law or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven customs operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of EU customs legislation; familiarity with other EMEA regimes is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems for customs data management.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in multicultural environment and matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of customs operations in EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Provide expert support in tariff classification, rules of origin, customs valuation and other customs-related topics for all imported and exported goods.
• Collaborate with the Global Customs team to ensure consistent application of global policies and procedures.
• Work with local EMEA sites to ensure smooth customs processes and support operational needs.
• Ensure company controls, policies and procedures are understood, followed and implemented.
• Coordinate customs data management, ensuring accurate collection, storage, and analysis.
• Cooperate with external customs brokers and internal stakeholders to manage filings and compliance.
• Maintain high-quality standards and attention to detail in all activities.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in EMEA customs law and regulations.
• Partner with Operations, Legal, Finance to ensure Group compliance across the board.
