• Design and test PCBAs and harnesses to provide power and control of laser systems
• Implementation of firmware for MCU based systems
• Preparation of documentation for projects
• Preparation, verification, and correction of BOMs
• Cooperation with purchasing and planning departments to acquire components for prototype assembly
• Preparing and placing orders for components for prototypes
• Assembling prototypes
• Identify root causes of functional or quality issues during prototype assembly
• Cooperation with other discipline engineers to assess design impact on production
• Identify design features that may cause problems and address them
• Support for manufacturing and sourcing teams
• Researching and improving best practices and tools to increase design quality and efficiency
