Job summary

Solaris Laser sp. z o. o. is seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join our team in Kajetany. You will design and test PCBAs and harnesses, implement firmware for MCU-based systems, and prepare detailed documentation and BOMs for laser technology projects.

The role requires EMC-aware PCB design, C programming, and collaboration with purchasing, planning, and manufacturing teams. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as Electronic Engineer.
• Experience with EMC-compliant PCB design and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Altium Designer and related EDA tools.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and C programming.
• Basic FPGA design knowledge.
• Proficient in English for written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and test PCBAs and harnesses to provide power and control of laser systems.

• Identify design features that may cause problems and take initiative to solve them.
• Support for manufacturing and sourcing teams.
• Research, implementation and improvement of best practices and tools to increase design quality and team efficiency.
• Possible travel up to 10%.

Your responsibilities

• Design and test PCBAs and harnesses to provide power and control of laser systems
• Implementation of FW for MCU based systems
• Preparation of documentation for projects
• Preparation, verification, and correction of BOMs
• Cooperation with purchasing and planning departments to acquire components for prototype assembly
• Preparing and placing orders for components for prototypes
• Assembling prototypes
• Identify root causes of functional or quality issues that may occur during prototype assembly
• Cooperation with other discipline engineers in assessing the designed solutions and their impact on the production process and applied technologies.
• Identification of design features that may cause technological problems and taking initiative to solve them
• Support for manufacturing and sourcing teams
• Researching, implementation and improvement of best practices and tools to increase design quality and team efficiency
• This position may require some domestic and international travel up to 10%

Our requirements

• Engineering Degree in Electronics
• A minimum of 3 years hands on experience working as Electronic Engineer with current technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see problems as an opportunity
• Experience in EMC-compliant PCB design and troubleshooting
• Excellent knowledge of EDA software, e.g. Altium Designer
• Knowledge of Electronic Embedded Systems and C programming
• Basic knowledge of FPGA designs
• Familiarity with soldering techniques and good manual skills
• Good English skills, ensuring easy verbal and written communication across different levels of the organization

• RTOS implementation familiarity
• VHDL language and Phyton knowledge
• Industrial integration and industrial automation experience
• Respective ISO standards and regulatory compliance familiarity
