Qualient Technology Solutions UK Limited is seeking a DevOps Engineer based in Krakow, Poland, to lead the PoC for an open-source workload automation platform. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating the platform and its CI/CD and automation ecosystem.

You will deliver a PoC, containerised platforms on Kubernetes, and automation workflows while applying DevOps best practices across time zones.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Platform / SRE / Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in real delivery/operations scenarios.
• Strong coding/scripting capability (e.g. Python, Java, or similar).
• Strong communication skills (working across time zones and diverse teams).
• Testing experience (building quality into delivery, not only “after the fact”).

Responsabilidades

• Deliver the PoC of open-source workload automation and support its evolution to a scalable, enterprise-ready solution.
• Build and maintain containerised platforms and services on Kubernetes.
• Design, implement and operate automation and orchestration workflows (e.g. workload scheduling and data/processing pipelines).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Support engineering teams with DevOps best practices: reliability, repeatability, observability, and secure-by-design deployments.
• Collaborate effectively across global locations, driving outcomes with clear communication and ownership.
• Contribute to testing practices (automation, integration testing, release validation).

We are Looking for a Devops Engineer Based In Krakow, Poland

We are forming a new cross-location POD to deliver a Proof of Concept (PoC) for an open-source workload automation platform, with a plan to scale into a full production-grade deployment following a successful PoC. You’ll play a key role in designing, building and operating the platform and its supporting CI/CD and automation ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the PoC of open-source workload automation and support its evolution to a scalable, enterprise-ready solution.
• Build and maintain containerised platforms and services on Kubernetes.
• Design, implement and operate automation and orchestration workflows (e.g. workload scheduling and data/processing pipelines).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Support engineering teams with DevOps best practices: reliability, repeatability, observability, and secure-by-design deployments.
• Collaborate effectively across global locations, driving outcomes with clear communication and ownership.
• Contribute to testing practices (automation, integration testing, release validation).

Required skills & experience (must-haves)

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Platform / SRE / Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in real delivery/operations scenarios.
• Experience with at least one or more of the following (as per project focus):
• Strong coding/scripting capability (e.g. Python, Java, or similar).
• Strong communication skills (working across time zones and diverse teams).
• Testing experience (building quality into delivery, not only “after the fact”).

Beneficial / nice-to-have

• Experience with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub (and/or GitHub Actions).
• Experience building PoCs into production-grade deployments (scaling, hardening, automation, monitoring).
